Garth Riley Media, established January 2010, innovatively combines New Social Media with Established Media (TV) in order to provide compelling and relevant content for both commerce and consumer.

The TV Host:

Since 2001, Garth Riley has enjoyed his expanding role in the media.  Garth’s TV credits include hosting The Riley Alternative for five seasons and appearances on The W Network.  In September 2006, Garth joined Channel 12 CHEX TV as the Monday and Tuesday evening Talk-show Host of First Take Live.

Garth has interviewed approximately 1000 guests ranging from notable personalities such as Dr. Patch Adams, James Redfield and Herman Meuller, as well as local and regional personalities such as politicians, health leaders, environmentalists, and doctors of many disciplines.

The Radio Host:

In the Fall of 2007, Garth joined his friend David Cohen on the Small Business Big Ideas Radio Show.  Over the year, Garth brought his wit, charm and direct energy to the show.  The mix of David and Garth is very dynamic.  They both have fun and get the job done.  David loves the structure and pace and Garth does what he does best... he messes it all up.  The result is humorous and unpredictable yet informative and thought provoking.  The next year will find Garth doing feature-work on shows and also sitting in studio with David from time-to-time. In the Fall of 2009 the show had concluded.

His Past:

His successful and colourful career path has included being a prominent producer and master of ceremonies for special events and corporate promotions.  He spent a year as the spokesperson for Variety the Children’s Charity and Variety Village, the Ability Centre.  His association with Variety Village dates back to 2001 when his interest was one of self exploration and his own physical abilities.  In 1992, a debilitating spinal cord injury left Garth partially paralysed from the waist down.  Through perseverance and determination, Garth regained the ability to walk and through Variety Village found exciting new ways to participate in group sports.
